Scientists define vigor as a holistic combination of physical energy, mental acuity, and emotional balance. Vigor really is “wellness” in the broadest possible sense. When we feel good physically, mentally and emotionally, then we have vigor. When our vigor is low, we tend to spiral down into feeling tired, stressed and depressed.
Vigor levels are something that can be scientifically evaluated and measured. XANGO has partnered with leading vigor expert, nutritional biochemist and past Director of the University of Utah Nutrition Clinic, Dr. Shawn Talbott, Ph.D, to study the category of vigor more closely. Dr. Talbott is a renowned expert in human performance, stress physiology, and using natural products to enhance wellbeing. In addition to developing the Eleviv™ formula, Dr. Talbott has created a customized XANGO “Profile of Mood States” (POMS) survey to measure individual vigor levels.
What’s Your Vigor Score?
The vigor score is a very robust and scientifically validated research term from psychology. One way to measure Vigor is using a tool called the “Profile of Mood States” (POMS) survey. The POMS has been used in more than 3,000 studies – making it the true “gold standard” for assessing vigor. In using the POMS, we can not only measure a person’s Vigor, but we can also measure their level of fatigue or energy, their degree of tension or anxiety, and their levels of mental focus and overall mood.
Simply take our two-minute vigor survey prior to trying Eleviv™ and receive your baseline vigor score. Then try Eleviv for at least a week, take the vigor survey again and see how your score improves. The results are overwhelming, showing significant decreases in tension, fatigue, confusion, depression and equally significant increases in overall vigor.
The six mood states tested are:
* Referring to the degree of a healthy mood state as assessed by the Profile of Mood States (POMS), not to depression as a clinical disease.
